Dimapur, Oct. 19 (EMN): Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Tuli block in Mokokchung district, conducted a training on promotion of food security group, mobilisation and capacity building of FIG on October 17 and the 18th.
On October 17, ATMA official conducted a training for Merasen food security group in Luyong village, stated Imlipokim in an update on Friday. During the programme, the officials have conducted a demonstration on production of cabbage as well as on preparation of nursery bed.
On the same day, ATMA officials conducted a mobilisation of Longjemer self help group in Longpong ward in Tuli town. The group was trained on oilseeds production.
On October 18, the team conducted training on winter vegetable crops in Luyong village. During the programme, farmers were trained on preparation of nursery bed, importance of proper spacing, and on insect and pests management.
The resource persons were Imlisunep Ajem, BTM, and Shilunokdang ATM, ATMA Tuli. Altogether, 19 farmers attend the programme.
