Dimapur, June 13: ATMA Dimapur, Dhansiripar block, conducted demonstration on “The art of Bonsai making” and “Capacity building on seed storage and management” on May 28 with MrsKheshevi, Bonsai expert, and LongshithungLotha, Technician of Seed Testing Lab, Agriculture Department, Dimapur, as the resource persons, which was conducted in Pimla and Ghuwoto village.
Mrs. Kheshevi gave a detailed demonstration on how to make Bonsai: its management and importance; Importance of moisture in seed storage and methods. Another resource person, Longshithung explained on storing different agriculture and horticulture seeds.
The programme was chaired by Jess T Murry, ATM, Dhansiripar Block, and the vote of thanks was delivered by MsMeciesunuSakhrie, ATM, Dhansiripar Block. Participants from Zutovi, Pimla, Ghowoto and Shoxuvi Village attended the programme.
Meanwhile, ATMA Tseminyu block also conducted demonstration programme on mushroom cultivation and piggery farming on May 30 at Henbenji village. Rokokhoto Natso, ATM, ATMA Tseminyu block, demonstrated on mushroom cultivation, while Dr. Vibeilie J Keretsu, BTM, ATMA Tseminyu block, demonstrated on piggery farming.
Altogether 23 farmers attended the programme where mushroom spawns, vitamins and mineral mixtures and anthelmintic drugs (deworming) were distributed to them.
