Dimapur, May 20 : ATMA Dimapur, Medziphema block and Chumukedima block conducted demonstrations and training on capacity building at Naharbari and Seithekema on May 11 where the resource person, Dr. Aseno Sakhrie, BTM and Debbie, AHO and BTT member, demonstrated on how agriculture products like tomatoes, bananas, mangoes, chilly, etc. could be processed into value added products like banana cakes, tomato sauce and puree, mango pickle, chilly pickle, etc.
Often these locally available farm produce are left to rot during bulk production and harvest season leading to economic losses. Value addition to agricultural products therefore increases economic value.
