Dimapur, Nov. 9 (EMN): The Nagaland Athletic Association (NAA) has informed that athletic trial will be conducted for race enthusiasts on Nov. 16 at the Government High School ground at Nagarjan, in Dimapur at 9 am. The trail will be limited only to the age-group of 15 to 17. The runners will be judged based on their running capacity of 1500 to 1800 metre race. A press release from the NAA informed on Fri. Nov. 9.
About three to four officials of the Nurturing Excellence in Sports Trust (NEST) will be present on the trail day and select the athletes based on their performance. It may be mentioned that the NEST will identify young athletes from the state for Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC). The NNA led by its President Abu Metha, and senior joint secretary Vikeduo Linyü said that it will be a great opportunity for the athletes in Nagaland.
