Dimapur, July 22 (EMN): A seminar on the theme "Women, agent of change" was held on July 22 at the auditorium of Charity School, Kohima, which was organised by the Angami Students' Union Kohima College (ASUKC), Kohima.

Resource person Mrs Ruokuoheü, president of Angamimiapfü Mechü Krotho (AMK), speaking in the 1st session on the topic "Work culture, role and responsibilities of women in the society," said when a girl is well taught, she becomes better than 100 teachers. She advised the students present to uphold the good lifestyle of our grandparents. She further criticised on how today's mothers think education is everything and giving less importance on working at homes, which is deteriorating their children.
In the second session, Advocate Mrs Vihelieü Suokhrie spoke on the ‘Legal awareness.’ Suokhrie gave guidance on how a girl could protect her rights and also deliberated on the rights of a woman.
The last session was based on health awareness, which was eloquently spoken by Mrs Vilhoulenuo Liezietsu, Deputy Director (Nursing) of Health and Family Welfare. Mrs Liezietsu said, "Women are the nation builders and they are the one who can transform the nation." She further taught on how the habit of eating junk food is affecting our health. She also stressed on maintaining cleanliness for girls. In conclusion, she quoted, "Give me a good mother and I will give you a good nation."
Keneitsituo Kense, president ASUKCK, chaired the programme, while Pelebeituo Rutsa, assistant pastor of HACRC, invoked God's blessings. The welcome note was delivered by Ms Keneisenuo Medom, treasurer ASUKCK, and a special song was presented by Ms Neilaü Thaprü. The programme was attended by Angami girls of Kohima College, Kohima, and invitees from various other colleges. Leaders from Angami Students' Union and Angamimiapfü Mechü Krotho also attended the programme.
