Kohima, July 9 (EMN): Angami Students' Union Bangalore (ASUB) held its 21st fresher's meet on the theme "Vi Kehie Khe" (let's progress/ strive more) on July 9 at Koramangala in Bangalore, Karnataka.
Gracing the event, Mesalhoulie Punyü, assistant vice president, dwelled on the theme and reminded about the vital role ASUB has been playing for the benefit and betterment of the students since its inception. He stated that event like fresher's meet was important both for the students and union.
While underscoring the need to respect the ideology of the union, Punyü asked every fresher to put God first in everything they do. Nikato Yeptho, pastor of Naga Christian Fellowship, Bangalore, exhorted the members and also said the invocation. Special songs were performed by Angami Students’ from South Asian Institute of Advanced Christian Studies (SAIACS) as well as from Ahenuo Lhoungu and Tsivisier Punyü.
Mhaler Sekhose, a civil engineering student, was adjudged Mr Fresher, while Asanuo Lhousi, who is pursuing M.Div, was declared Miss Fresher.
The programme began with a prayer said by Teisovinuo Nanna, while the welcome speech was delivered by ASUB president, Kevizetso Keyie.
Zakietuo Noudi, advisor of ASUB, informed that there are about 100 registered members in the union. He added that around 20 freshers have turned up at the event.
