ASU Nousi Rüzhü underway in Kohima

March 1.[/caption] Dimapur, March 1 (EMN): A two-day sporting extravaganza, Nousi Rüzhü (commonwealth games) on the theme "kezepuo chü di kuokelie" (victory with unity) organised by Angami Students’ Union (ASU) Kohima, got underway at the D. Khel ground Seikhazou Kohima on Feb. 1. Six colleges under ASU body; Kohima College Kohima (KCK), St. Joseph College Jakhama (SJCJ), Kohima Science College Jotsoma (KSCJ), Don Bosco College Kohima (DBCK), Baptist College Kohima (BCK) and Oriental College Kohima (OCK) are taking part in the sports meet, stated a press release. The opening ceremony was attended by president, Nagaland Football Association (NFA) and state chief commissioner, Nagaland State Bharat Scout and Guide, Atuo Mezhür Sekhose. In his speech, Sekhose emphasised on how sports could benefit students and that it’s highly appreciated to conduct such initiatives and also that the ASU should continue such activities in the future as well. The first day of the ASU Nousi Rüzhii games kicked off with the following games: men's football, volleyball for men and women, and basketball for men and women. The second day of ASU Nousi Rüzhü will commence on Sat. Mar. 2 at 8:30 am while wrestling will be held at 12 noon with Officer on Special Duty (OSD), Directorate of Technical Education Vipulhou Loungu as the special guest.
