Dimapur, Nov 20 (EMN): With no favourable responds from the government despite a seven-day ultimatum for a decision and to recommend the empanelled list of non-SCS officers to DoPT/ UPSC, a confederation of four associations namely CANSSEA, FONSESA, NSSA and NF&ASA have decided to launch its first phase agitation from November 21, which will be followed by the second and third phase till their legitimate rights are fulfilled.
It may be mentioned here that the confederation of four associations had, on November 14, served an ultimatum to the government giving seven days for a decision and to recommend the empanelled list of non-SCS Officers to the DoPT/UPSC. With no favourable responds from the government even after lapse of seven-day ultimatum which expires on November 21, the confederation of four associations have termed as denial of justice to their legitimate rights.
With no positive responds from the government, the confederation of four associations had a threadbare deliberation on November 20 and resolved to launch its first phase agitation, which will be followed by the second and third phase till their legitimate rights are fulfilled.
A joint press release issued by CANSSEA president Dr. Zase Chusi, FONSESA president Er. Y TEP, NSSA president Johnny Humtsoe, NF&ASA president RN Yanthan, convenor of action committee Dr. Ilang, and members Kitto Swu, Er. Neülabeizo and Temsu Longkumer stated that the associations would launch its first phase agitation in the form of pen down strike from November 22 midnight, which would continued for a period of three days. The strike would be mandatory for all the employees under the umbrella of the confederation of four associations.
In this regard, it has directed the president and office bearers of NSSA and NF&ASA to check its member for strict compliance of the resolution adopted and initiate action against the defaulters as deemed fit.
CANSSEA and FONSESA were asked to direct the entire sister associations affiliated under them to ensure strict adherence to the pen down strike in their respective departments. All sister associations would appoint one liaison officer and submit their names and contact number to the Action Committee by November 21.
Meanwhile, the four associations informed that medical, PHED, Power, Fire Services, NST, IPR, Educational Institutions and other public utility services would be exempt from the purview of the pen down strike. However, the Directorates and all district establishments are asked to comply with the pen down strike.
