The 4th biennial women conference of the Association of the Gorkha Baptist Churches Nagaland began on Friday at its Mission Centre in Singrijan village.

DIMAPUR — A three-day 4th biennial women conference of the Association of the Gorkha Baptist Churches Nagaland (AGBCN) began on Friday at its Mission Centre in Singrijan village under Chümoukedima district on the theme “Global vision for the gospel.”
An update from the Association stated that more than 300 delegates and officials representing various Gorkha/ Nepali Baptist Churches across Nagaland are attending the conference.
The inaugural session was attended by Dr. Igumpule Ndang, women secretary of the Nagaland Police Baptist Churches Association (NPBCA), as the inaugural speaker. The opening ceremony was performed by the Nepali Baptist Church, Walford.

The conference would feature Ambika Thapa Pradhan, women advisor of Nepali Baptist Association Assam, and Dr. Igumpule Ndang as the main speakers, while Utsha Rai Haokip, youth director of Kuki Baptist Church, Medziphema, and Manju Malla Pradhan, women secretary in-charge of AGBCN, would lead in the Bible study.
It stated that praise and worship would be led by NBC Padumpukhuri youth department throughout the conference, while Monica Subba, AGBCN women board member, would be the camp director.
Report further stated that a total of 33 Gorkha Baptist Churches across Nagaland are participating in the conference, making it a significant gathering of faith, fellowship and empowerment among the Gorkha Baptist community.
