- DIMAPUR — A sports and scripture engagement
training seminar was held from May 2 to the 4th at the Association of Gorkha
Baptist Churches Nagaland (AGBCN) Mission Centre, Singrijan.
- According to an update, the seminar featured Dr. Viposa,
director of Gethemgo Sports International, as the resource person, with Kupu
Chopy assisting him. A total of 80 delegates, representing 25 churches and
fellowships under AGBCN, participated in the training.
- The primary objective of the seminar was to equip the
participants with the skills to effectively integrate sports with scripture
engagement and implement sports ministry within their respective churches.
- The programme also included various competitions, such as a
Bible quiz and a Bible spelling bee, along with extracurricular activities like
prayer sessions, Zumba, and futsal competitions.

- Youth secretary Shishir Lama, in his closing remarks, urged
the youth to prepare for the upcoming Inter-Church Tournament to be held next
year, in which AGBCN will be participating. He encouraged interested football
players to submit their names, as a selection trial will be conducted before
forming the official AGBCN Football Team.
