
Children engage in a chess competition organised by the
Kohima Garrison on the eve of Easter Sunday.
- DIMAPUR — Assam Rifles organised an
interactive session and awareness programme on World Heritage Day at Government
Middle School, New Thewati, Meluri district, on April 18.
- According to an update, a total of 42 students and 4
teachers attended the event, which included a lecture on the significance of
preserving cultural and natural heritage, a drawing competition on cultural and
natural sites, a showcase of traditional Naga attire, and a traditional dance
performance, all aimed at educating students and locals about preserving
cultural and natural heritage.
- Assam Rifles also initiated an Agniveer registration and
pre-recruitment drive in Tuensang, Kiphire, Phek, Meluri, Noklak, Mon, and
Mokokchung districts of Nagaland on April 18.
- As part of it, dedicated assistance centres have been
established at the Assam Rifles locations in Tobu, Changlangshu, and Wangti of
Tuensang district; Tizit and Wakching of Mon district; Pungro and Thongsonyu of
Kiphire district; Meluri and Ziphu of Meluri district; and Wonthoi and Shamatore
of Noklak district.

- These centres offer end-to-end support, from explaining the
eligibility criteria to guiding candidates through the online registration and
application process.
