Dimapur, Dec. 20: Assam Rifles (AR) has refuted the statement of Yimchungru Tribal Council (YTC) statement on matter relating to December 12 in Tuensang. AR statement said troops of Assam Rifles, based on specific intelligence, along with police representative conducted an operation in Tuensang on December 12 in the house of one Y Kiumesean Yimchunger, in which the troops recovered weapon and ammunition which were illegally kept by the individual. It, therefore, said the allegation of AR personnel placing the said weapon inside the house was fabricated, factually incorrect and laughable. It has termed the article to be motivated by inimical elements to malign the image of Assam Rifles.
