Dimapur, Sep 6 (EMN): Basing on specific information, troops of 36 Assam Rifles alongwith police representatives established a Mobile Vehicle Check Post (MVCP) at general in Burma Camp, Dimapur, on September 4 and confiscated 768 cases of liquor.
During the search, troops of Assam Rifles detected two suspicious vehicles parked approximately 500 meters away along the road. On conducting search of the vehicles i.e Mahindra Bolero Pick-up (bearing registration No NL07A-6335) and Truck Tata 709 (bearing registration No NL07A-5457), the team recovered 768 cases of IMFL worth approximately Rs 19 lakhs.
The recovered IMFL was handed over to East Police Station, Dimapur for further investigation.
