Assam Rifles honours Shaurya Chakra awardee Lance Naik Ganesh Bahadur Rai at a wreath-laying ceremony in Jairampur.

DIMAPUR — The Assam Rifles organised a wreath-laying ceremony in Jairampur, Arunachal Pradesh, on Sunday to honour the supreme sacrifice of Lance Naik Ganesh Bahadur Rai, Shaurya Chakra (Posthumous), who laid down his life in the line of duty on January 4, 1975, at Kabza village, Mokokchung district, Nagaland.
A guard of honour was accorded as officers, junior commissioned officers and other ranks paid homage to the braveheart, stated a press release.
As part of the homage, Assam Rifles personnel also visited the family of the martyr, expressing gratitude and solidarity and reiterating the assurance that the force and the nation stand firmly with the families of its bravehearts.
