
Dimapur, April 14 (EMN): Assam Rifles Dog Training Centre under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) organised a ‘K9 workshop’ for police forces of the Northeast region at Jorhat from April 11 to 13th.
The workshop was organised as per the directives of ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to share the best practices of handling dogs amongst the forces and also to improve the performance of K9 dogs employed with various police forces, a defence update informed.
The workshop was attended by delegations from all CAPFs (AR, NSG, CRPF, BSF, SSB, ITBP) and the state police of NE region.
Meanwhile, Changlang Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) provided assistance to civilians and recovered their vehicle, which rolled into a drain beside the road at Changlang town, Changlang district, Arunachal Pradesh on April 12.
