Assam Rifles conducts health camp, youth awareness campaign, and sports activities across Nagaland districts
DIMAPUR — Assam Rifles carried out civic outreach and welfare initiatives across Shamator, Peren, Kiphire, and Mon districts.
Shamator: Assam Rifles organised a dental camp at Kuthur village in Shamator district on Wednesday.
According to an update, a total of 43 civilians availed dental healthcare services, including consultations, tooth fillings, scaling, and extractions. Oral hygiene aids were distributed, and awareness was imparted on oral hygiene practices and preventing common dental ailments.
Mental health campaign in Jalukie: In Peren district, Assam Rifles, in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare and Recovery Wellness Society, organised the launch of "Breaking the Silence 4.0" at St. Xavier Higher Secondary School, Jalukie, on November 4.

The campaign focused on mental health awareness and substance abuse prevention. Brigadier Vikas Bahuguna, Deputy Inspector General of IGAR (N), attended the event as the guest of honour.
The programme featured Bahun Nongrum (Miss Divine Beauty India 2026, Miss Earth India 2025 1st Runner-up, Miss Meghalaya 2024), Lovikali Swu (Miss Grand India Nagaland 2026), and ZT Slingshot (rapper and lyricist from Nagaland), bringing together students, faculty, and local youth to address mental health stigma and raise awareness against substance abuse.
Kiphire: Assam Rifles observed Rashtriya Ekta Diwas at Kiphire on November 3 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
A film highlighting the life and contributions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was screened for personnel. The programme concluded with the administration of the Rashtriya Ekta Pledge.
Mon: In Mon district, Assam Rifles organised a friendly football match with local youth at Sheangha Chingnyu on Wednesday to promote sportsmanship, fitness, and community engagement.
