
Assam Rifles personnel donating blood during a voluntary

- DIMAPUR — The
Assam Rifles, in collaboration with the Blood Bank of Naga Hospital Authority
Kohima (NHAK), conducted a blood donation camp on Friday in Chieswama village
under Kohima district.
- A defence release stated that the event witnessed active
participation from both troops and local civilians, reflecting the spirit of
compassion and solidarity. It added that a total of 80 troops and 5 civilians
came forward to donate blood voluntarily.
- Report stated that experienced healthcare professionals from
Assam Rifles and 5 doctors from the Naga Hospital, Kohima, ensured the comfort,
safety and well-being of all the donors throughout the process.

- “This collaborative initiative significantly contributed to
replenishing critical blood reserves, ensuring preparedness for emergencies,
surgical needs and life-saving medical interventions,” the statement read.
- It stated that the event also aimed to promote the culture
of voluntary, unpaid blood donation, highlighting its vital role in public
health.
- Meanwhile, it stated that Assam Rifles remains committed to
public service and continues to support initiatives that strengthen
civil-military relations and contribute positively to society.
