Assam Rifles nabs two with arms

Dimapur, June 12 (EMN): Assam Rifles allegedly apprehended two armed cadres of NSCN (K) Yung Aung faction along with two pistols, hand grenades, detonators, explosives, ammunition, extortion slips and other incriminating documents. The apprehended cadres were identified as Ghileto Zhimo (24), resident of VK Town in Zunheboto district, and ‘SS’ Capt Hekzhav Awomi Kanbo (32), resident of Homeland village in Dimapur district. A defence release stated that Ghileto Zhimo and Hekzhavi were apprehended from Piphema and Burma Camp on June 7 and 8. They were accused of involving in series of extortion activities and weapon smuggling in Dimapur and Kohima districts. Apprehendees along with the recovered items were handed over to Medziphema Police Station for further investigation, the release stated.
