Assam Rifles nab two cadres

Dimapur, Sep. 16 (EMN): Basing on specific information regarding extortion demand placed by armed cadres, troops of 41 Assam Rifles alongwith police representative launched an operation at Ward No 8, Chumukedima, on Sept. 14. According to 41 Assam Rifles, during the operation, the team nabbed two cadres alongwith extortion slip of Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) duly signed by ‘Chapelee in Charge of FGN,’ Zhopa Vero. The apprehended duos were identified as Zhekiho Awomi, (36 yrs), resident of Old Showba, Dimapur and Katoi Yepthomi, (35 yrs), resident of Henivi village, Dimapur. The accused were handed over to Diphupar Police Station, Dimapur for further investigation.
