DIMAPUR — Assam Rifles launched Meri LiFE on Monday in Mokokchung, an effort initiated by the government of India as a mass movement for "mindful and deliberate utilisation, instead of mindless and destructive consumption of resources," with the aim to protect and preserve the precious environment.

As per a press release, the troops received a briefing about the initiative during the launch, and there was also a pledge ceremony undertaken by the Assam Rifles troops and their families to commit to environmental preservation.

Further, in an effort to enhance community health and wellness, Assam Rifles conducted a medical camp at Sheanghah Wamsa in Mon district on Monday, in which a total of 162 individuals from nearby villages, comprising 34 males, 43 females, and 85 children, participated.

A lecture on living a healthy lifestyle, raising awareness, and general medicine was also held for the local population on the occasion.
