Assam Rifles karate team wins at international karate c’ship

Dimapur, July 31 (EMN): The AR Karate team returned to ARTC & S, Shokhuvi, Nagaland after winning the ‘3rd International Open Karate Championship’(Senior Category) held at Netaji Indoor Stadium (Kolkata), on July 29 and 30, 2017.
The team bagged four Gold and three Bronze medals in the championship and emerged as the overall champions. Iran team was declared the runners up.
In all, 34 teams representing 20 states teams, 7 Forces teams and 7 international teams participated in the event.
The AR team was led by manager cum coach L/Hav Satendra.
