Assam Rifles organised roadshows across Nagaland to promote the 9th Capt. N Kengurüse Memorial Football Tournament and the Fit India Movement.

DIMAPUR — Assam Rifles conducted a series of activities across Nagaland on Thursday.
According to an update, in Jalukie, Peren, Mon and Kiphire districts, the force organised roadshows as part of the ongoing promotional activities for the upcoming 9th Capt. N. Kengurüse, MVC, Memorial Football Tournament.
The events aimed to generate enthusiasm and community participation while honouring the valour and sacrifice of Capt. N. Kengurüse, MVC (P). The roadshows had participation from residents, students, and youth groups.
Assam Rifles also conducted a football match with the children of Zeme Orphanage Children’s Home, Peren. The initiative was intended to encourage the spirit of sportsmanship and togetherness among the young participants.

At Chieswema, Kohima district, Assam Rifles organised the Fit India Freedom Run 6.0 as part of the nationwide Fit India Movement launched by the Government of India.
Personnel of the Force and local school students participated in the run, which was organised under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. The initiative aimed to promote regular physical activity and a culture of fitness and wellness.
The programme concluded with a collective pledge to uphold the ideals of the Fit India Movement and to encourage others to lead healthy lifestyles.
