KOHIMA, SEPTEMBER 1: In honouring the sacrifices and patriotism of the ex-service men, the Assam Rifles Ex-Servicemen, Veer Naris and gallantry award winners rally was held at HQ IGAR (North) Ground today with Deputy IGAR (North), AR Kohima, Brigadier Rajiv Nanda, as the chief guest.
Addressing the gathering, Nanda said the main purpose of the rally was to disseminate the latest information on the available welfare schemes for the ex-servicemen and widow and also to address their problems and grievances.
The participants were also enlightened on the 7th Pay Commission benefits, ARESA, PAO (AR) and lecture on Central Government Health Schemes (CGHS).
Various facilities made available for the ex-servicemen at the rally today included CSD, Bank (SBI, Axis Bank), medical camp, dental camp, recruitment cell, grievances cell, Aadhar Card/voter ID/PAN Card, canteen smart card etc.The participants were also entertained with songs, dances, cultural dances, magic shows etc performed by the 3 Assam Rifles.
Today’s event was attended by ex-servicemen veer naris, war widows from Kohima, Wokha, Phek and Kiphire district, and all ranks of Assam Rifles fraternity.
