Assam Rifles gets associated with Mary Kom Boxing Academy in Imphal

According to an update received here on Monday, the Director General of Assam Rifles, Lt Gen Sukhdeep Sangwan, SM, accompanied by Maj Gen KP Singh, IG Assam Rifles (South) visited the Mary Kom Boxing Academy in Imphal on June 23 and interacted with the world champion Mary Kom who conducted the DG around the sporting facilities at her Academy. The DG thanked her for agreeing to be the face of Assam Rifles boxing team and helping them become the potential medal winners for the country. The DG also met the young students at Mary Kom Boxing Academy and encouraged them to excel under the dynamic supervision of Mary Kom. The director general promised appropriate assistance to Mary Kom Academy for grooming the world class boxers.
