In a commendable effort to promote environmental sustainability, Assam Rifles, in collaboration with the Zub Zub NGO, organised a large-scale cleanliness drive in Pfuchama village, Kohima district, as part of their ongoing outreach initiatives.
The event was held in observance of International Plastic Bag Free Day, aiming to raise awareness and inspire action towards a cleaner tomorrow, a defence release stated.
More than 30 residents of Pfuchama enthusiastically joined forces with Assam Rifles personnel and members of Zub Zub NGO, working side by side to clear litter and encourage responsible waste management in their community.
“The successful partnership between villagers, the NGO, and security forces underscored the vital role of community engagement in protecting the environment and ensuring a healthier future for all,” it stated.

Training for SSC GD recruitment in Phek
In a dedicated effort to empower local youth and support their aspirations to join the Central Armed Police Forces, Assam Rifles organised a focused training capsule in Phek.
