
DIMAPUR — Assam Rifles organised a tree plantation and adoption drive for students of the IG Academy at the IG Stadium in Kohima, with 120 children and six staff members participating.
According to a press release, the event commenced with a brief explanation of the plan to the children and the benefits they would gain by adopting the plants. During the drive, a total of 250 saplings were planted.
Additionally, Assam Rifles conducted a special yoga session for schoolchildren at Govt. Middle School, New Thewati, promoting physical and mental well-being.
The event saw the participation of 45 students, who were taught yoga, breathing exercises, and meditation techniques.
This initiative aimed to enhance the children’s concentration, flexibility, and overall health and included a brief talk on the importance of yoga in daily life.
