DIMAPUR — The Assam Rifles conducted multiple activities, including the distribution of stationery in Peren, a friendly volleyball match in Mon, and a humanitarian outreach in Kohima.
Under its initiative “Friends of the Hills", the Assam Rifles organised an outreach programme at PM SHRI Government Middle School, Peren town, where essential stationery items and eatables were distributed among children.
According to a press release, the personnel distributed educational materials, including books, notebooks, pens, pencils, erasers, and sharpeners.

In a separate event, a friendly volleyball match between the Assam Rifles and local youths and students was held at Chenwetnyu village in Mon district. The event drew participation from young players of the village and nearby educational institutions.
The friendly game aimed to promote healthy lifestyles, sportsmanship, and mutual trust between the security forces and the local population.
Meanwhile, to mark Good Friday, the Assam Rifles undertook a humanitarian outreach initiative by donating essential aid to the Kohima Orphanage and Destitute Home, Bright Morning Star Children Home, and Tabitha Enabling Academy in Kohima.
