Assam Rifles organises a free dental camp in Sangphur, Shamator, providing oral check-ups and distributing care kits.

DIMAPUR — Assam Rifles organised a free dental camp at Sangphur village in the Shamator district on August 21 as part of its ongoing community healthcare initiatives.
According to an update, the camp, aimed at providing accessible healthcare services to people residing in remote and underserved areas, saw participation from the local community and village elders.
During the camp, military dental officers conducted comprehensive oral health check-ups, dental consultations, tooth extractions, and preventive screenings for the villagers.
The initiative also focused on promoting awareness about preventive dental care and healthy lifestyle practices. Awareness sessions were conducted for school children and village elders on oral hygiene, healthy dietary habits, and the early identification of dental problems.

The sessions highlighted the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene and seeking timely medical consultation to prevent dental ailments and associated health complications.
As part of the initiative, dental care kits containing toothbrushes and toothpaste, along with prescribed medicines, were distributed to the villagers free of cost.
