- DIMAPUR — Coinciding
with International Education Day, the Assam Rifles hosted a career guidance and
counselling programme at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Peren district on
January 25.
- The initiative aimed to inform students about career opportunities
within the Indian armed forces and paramilitary forces, according to an update.
- The programme began with an interaction covering various
entry schemes into the Indian Armed Forces, with personnel from the Assam
Rifles sharing their experiences.
- The event concluded with a motivational talk by an Assam
Rifles representative, focusing on problem-solving strategies in life. A total
of 300 students and eight teachers from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya
participated.
- Assam Rifles also conducted a lecture on the significance of
National Voter's Day, emphasising the importance of active participation in
democracy.
- The programme, held at Noklak, witnessed enthusiastic
participation from over 50 children and soldiers. The session highlighted the
role of voting in shaping the nation's future and encouraged attendees to be
responsible citizens.
