Dimapur, April 9 (EMN): The Mon Battalion of Assam along with a police representative during an operation at Ponyu Murrang, Lungwa village in Mon on April 9 apprehended two NSCN (K) cadres.
The two cadres were identified as Aching Konyak and Akham Konyak.

According to press release received from Assam Rifles on Monday, one extortion slip signed by ‘self styled major general’ Nyemlang Konyak of NSCN (K) and a note book containing details of tax collection and other incriminating documents were found from their possession.
The accused along with the seized items were handed over to Mon Police Station for further investigation, it was informed.
