Dimapur, November 27: Angami Sports Association (ASA) has withdrawn its earlier decision barring four of its grapplers from participating in any of its sporting activity for a period of one year. The decision to this effect was taken at its executive council meeting on November 7 in which the house unanimously resolved to allow/permit all the four wrestlers to participate in any tournament organised by ASA with immediate effect, a press release informed.
It may be mentioned here that ASA had barred four of its members to participate in any ASA organise wrestling/sporting activity for a period of 1 (one) year for violating the ASA directive by participating in the Dimapur District Wrestling Association meet held on 23.03.2016. The restriction was lifted as the Association will be celebrating its golden jubilee in the year 2017, a year which is also of emancipation and restoration. In this regard, the Association decided to show pardon and mercy thereby forgiving and welcoming the barred wrestlers.
