KOHIMA— Arts Gathering, an event that aims to bring different forms of art together will be held on Oct. 2 at Ura Academy in Kohima from 4 pm onwards.
Curated by Glimmer, the gathering will showcase music, dance, fine arts, fashion, crafts, film, photography and food.
This was announced through a press conference addressed by the executive members of Glimmer namely Avika Sekhose, president; Zeneinuo Dozo, general secretary; Jeh, organising secretary; and Vikeduo Sekhose, advisor at Phasaings Restaurant in Kohima on Tuesday.
Avika Sekhose said that the objective of the event is to celebrate arts and make people understand that art itself is very deep which touches people. She said that they want to glorify God through the gathering because He is the first designer.
The officials shared that the event is family based and they are church leaders, special guests and expecting families to come together.
They aspire to inspire the young people through the event.
About the ticket prices, the organisers informed that they have two categories - INR 1000 for family and INR 5000 for donors. And for students, INR 1000 for five students, stating that the event is not profit oriented but more towards promotional based.
They will also be picking two lucky draw winners from the tickets where the first prize will get a guitar and the second will get a painting art by Among Venuh.
Sekhose also confirmed that this will become an annual event and is just a glimpse of what will happen in the future.
