DIMAPUR — Indian
army is all set to invite the online applications from unmarried male
candidates for selection as Agniveers for recruiting year 2025-26 under
Agnipath scheme.
A defence release stated that online registration would
tentatively start in the month of February, wherein applications would be
invited from domiciles of all districts from the states of Nagaland and
Manipur. It informed that the recruitment of Agniveers would be carried out in
two phases.
In Phase-I, an online computer-based written examination or
the common entrance examination (CEE) would be conducted at selected centres in
both states.
In Phase-II, recruitment rally would be conducted for
shortlisted candidates. It informed that detailed requirements and advisories
for the rally would be intimated by the army recruiting office, Rangapahar.
For registration, candidates are asked to log into
www.joinindianarmy.nic.in, to check their eligibility status and create a
personal profile. The candidates, on successful filling the application, would
be directed to SBI portal through a link on the website.
At the SBI portal, candidates would make payment of INR 250
plus bank charges as applicable. It added that candidates would be required to
have an active email and mobile number for further communication by Indian
army.
It stated that candidates should select five choices for the
exam centre. They are asked to enter Aadhaar number in online application and
advised to link Aadhaar to mobile number.
It informed that animated videos on “How to register” and
“How to appear for online CEE” are also available on www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.
It added that candidates could apply for any two categories during online
registration. The candidates applying for more than one category should appear
for two CEEs due to differing standards of the question papers and separate
merit drawn for each category.
