
A section of students is seen during an army recruitment
outreach programme in Dimapur on Friday.
- DIMAPUR — To
equip the youth with necessary knowledge for recruitment in the Indian army in
various categories including officers and Agniveer, the Army Recruitment Office
(ARO), Rangapahar, in coordination with Cornerstone Higher Secondary School,
Dimapur, conducted an extensive outreach programme on Friday.
- A defence release stated that the outreach programme was
attended by over 216 eligible students including an approximate 100 girls.
- The session covered the importance and nuances of the Agnipath
scheme of recruitment, login procedure, creating a login ID for registration,
recruitment notification for the year 2025-26, its advantages, opportunities
post four years and clarifications of queries.

- Besides, modalities of officer entry schemes include
National Defence Academy (NDA), Indian Military Academy (IMA), Officers
Training Academy (OTA), Military Nursing Services (MNS) and Territorial Army
(TA) along with Service Selection Board (SSB) interviews were elaborated upon.
- The aspirants were briefed about the eligibility criteria,
application procedures and selection processes for each scheme. They were also
explained about the organisation of the army and types of arms and
services.
- Handouts, posters, pamphlets and other publicity materials were
also distributed to the participants.
