Indian Army troops defused a suspected explosive in Moulsang village of Manipur’s Churachandpur district during a patrol, with no collateral damage reported.

DIMAPUR — Troops of the Indian Army detected and neutralised a suspected explosive device during a patrol near Moulsang village in Churachandpur district of Manipur on April 30.
According to a press release from the Defence PRO on Friday, the suspected device was found during a routine patrol in the area. Following the detection, engineers from the Red Shield Division deployed a bomb disposal team to the site.

The area was cordoned off and safety measures were put in place. The presence of explosives was confirmed using an explosive detector dog to assess the threat.
The bomb disposal team carried out in-situ destruction of the suspected unexploded ordnance, described as being of old vintage, in a controlled manner. The device was neutralised without any collateral damage.
