- DIMAPUR — To
equip the youth with necessary knowledge for recruitment in various categories
of the Indian army including officers and Agniveer, the Army Recruitment
Officer (ARO), Rangapahar, conducted an extensive outreach programmes in Kohima
on March 5.
- The programme was conducted in coordination with Directorate
of Employment Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (ITI), Government of
Nagaland, which was attended by over 240 eligible students including 115 boys
and 125 girls.
- A defence release stated that the sessions covered
importance and nuances of the Agnipath scheme of recruitment, its advantages
and opportunities post four years of service and clarifications of queries.
- It added that modalities of officer entry schemes including
National Defence Academy (NDA), Officers Training Academy (OTA), Military
Nursing Services (MNS) and Territorial Army (TA) Service Selection Board (SSB)
interview were elaborated.
- The aspirants were briefed about the eligibility criteria,
application procedures and selection processes for each scheme. They were also
explained about the organisation of army and types of arms and services.
Besides, handouts, posters, pamphlets and other publicity materials were also
distributed to the participants.
