MOKOKCHUNG, MAY 3
[dropcap]A[/dropcap] suspected arms dealer was arrested by personnel of 31 Assam Rifles at Dikhu Iron Bridge near Longmisa Village under Mokokchung district on May 2 last.
According to Assam Rifles authorities, the arrest was made following information of the accused, 27-year-old Chingmak Chang, /o PB Yamchong Chang from Nokshou Village in Tuensang District, transporting weapons from Tuensang to Mokokchung.Subsequently a Mobile Vehicle Check Post was established along the route and the suspect was captured with two .22 pistols with magazine, two .22 live rounds and a motorbike (*NL -07 1-2036). The accused, along with the seized items, has been handed over to police.
