Area-wise Covid-19 sensitisation begins in Mokokchung

Mokokchung, April 27 (EMN): Area-wise (sub-division) sensitisation on the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) began in Mokokchung district on Monday at Town Hall Mokokchung. The programme will conclude on May 3.

Representatives from 18 villages and three units from Ongpangkong Range attended the sensitisation programme on day-one.

The villages and unit at attended the event are Ungma, Longsa, Longmisa, Chubayimkum, Meyilong, Moalenden, Settsu, Kubza, Longkhum, Mangmetong, Khensa, Mekuli, Chungtia, Aliba, Kinunger, Satsu, Longjongkong, Mokokchung, Chuchuyimpang, Sabangya Compound and Alichen.

Each village and unit was represented by three members of the village council, pastor from all village/unit and two teachers from every village/unit. The resource persons sensitised the people of villages and units from Ongpangkong on latest available information about Covid-19 pandemic and preventive measures necessary to be taken to combat the contagious virus.

Sensitisation Team on Covid-19 was led by Chief AH and Veterinary Officer, Mokokchung, Dr. B M Sunep, ZLO, Dr. Yanger and EAC Ongpangkong (South), Sangpangchang Longkumer.
