Dimapur, Oct. 20 (EMN): The Assam Rifles women team won the overall championship in the recently concluded 18th Senior Women National Boxing Championship organised by Uttarakhand Amateur Boxing Association on behalf of Indian Amateur Boxing Federation (IABF) at Shantipuram, Dhandhera Roorkee, district-Haridwar, Uttrakhand from Oct. 10-14.
According to an update, the team also bagged 4 gold and one silver. In addition, one boxer of DGAR team representing Manipur clinched the silver medal.
27 teams participated in the event.
