Dimapur, April 12 (EMN): Assam Rifles has announced to hold a combined Ex-Servicemen (ESM) rally comprising of army and Assam Rifles for all districts of Nagaland at Assam Rifles Garrison Ground, Kohima, on April 30.
According to the Assam Rifles, the combined rally is aimed at reaching out to ESMs, Veer Naris, widows and their wards for their comprehensive welfare with special focus on disabled soldiers.
The rally would focus on updation of records, pension anomalies redressal, entitlements of disabled soldiers, medical and dental check-up, redressal of ECHS and canteen card, redressal of banking, Aadhar and PAN card, avenues for recruitment in the army, skill development/ employment generation through state government agencies, and redressal of issues with regard to civil administration.
The rally would commence from 8:30 am on April 30. It added that registration of all ESMs would be carried out on their arrival.
Various stalls to address specific grievances/ issues of ESMs would be established, the release stated. Besides, Assam Rifles has planned an interactive sessions amongst the ESMs, Veer Naris and their wards regarding various benefits and entitlements. It added that felicitation of wounded soldiers and Veer Naris would also be carried out on the occasion.
It has requested all ex-servicemen along with their dependents to attend the programme.
