Dimapur, Oct. 14 (EMN): The Tseminyu post of the 28th Assam Rifles conducted a career guidance programme on the topic of skill development, at Phugoboto Mission English School in Phugoboto on Oct. 13. Eight teachers, 40 students and ten members of the public attended the programme, updates from the security forces informed on Sunday.
During the event, information about various schemes and employment avenues for young people were discussed and shared for publicity among students and the local population, it was informed.
The Assam Rifles has been conducting various socio-economic programmes in various districts of Nagaland with an aim to uplift the society through awareness programmes about schemes and social projects being implemented by the government of Nagaland, the security forces stated.
“Being deployed in remote and inaccessible areas of the state, Assam Rifles started the initiative of bringing governance to each and every doorsteps of the rural poor populace who, due to communication gap and distance from the district HQ are not able to keep tab with the progress and socio-economic initiatives being undertaken by the state government,” the security forces stated.
