Dimapur, Jan. 29 (EMN): The Assam Rifles Taekwondo team emerged as champions in senior boy’s category in the recently concluded 2nd National Taekwondo Championship held at Pune from Jan. 26 till the 28th. The team bagged seven gold and five silver medals in the championship.
The championship was keenly contested by 13 state teams and 44 other prestigious teams from various states. Rifleman NokdoTekwa, Rifleman S Biswas, Rifleman W Lemnam, Rifleman Paban Das, Rifleman MdAmjad Ali, Rifleman M B Magar, Rifleman Ravinder Singh bagged Gold Medal wherein Rifleman A D Chakma, Rifleman L Khaim, Rifleman L Kima, Rifleman Vikash Sharma and Rifleman L Nanao secured the silver medal.
