Dimapur, Jan. 26: In a search operation at Foothill road, Wokha - Merapani state highway, troops of 28 Assam Rifles seized illegal Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) worth 65,000, being smuggled from Assam to Nagaland.
The Assam Rifles check post intercepted one Bolero Regd No. AS 06 AC 0612 belonging to Yiadsapen Kikon, resident of Bhandari of Wokha district. The individual was handed over to Bhandari Police Station on January 24, alongwith the seized liquor. An FIR has been lodged against the accused in Bhandari Police Station.
