Dimapur, Aug. 1 (EMN): Based on specific information, troops of Assam Rifles and army launched a joint search operation in Paglapahar forest near Chümoukdima, Dimapur, on July 27 and recovered huge cache of weapons.
According to defence release, the combined team recovered 15 weapons including one AK rifle with magazine and bayonet (SKK-45), one 9mm carbine with magazine, one 9mm pistol with magazine, one point 22 pistol with magazine, one point 22 revolver with magazine, nine SBBL rifles, and huge quality of assorted ammunition besides other warlike stores.
It stated that the recovered arms and ammunitions were handed over to Chümoukedima Police Station for further investigation.
