
Dimapur, Aug. 25 (EMN): The Wokha Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) distributed essential supplies and writing material to the needy children of Wokha Foundling Harbour Orphanage School on August 24, informed an update received here on Tuesday.
Another update from PRO, HQ IGAR , informed that the Assam Rifles along with the police launched an operation based on specific intelligence regarding illegal activities in Monsenyimiti, Mokokchung and apprehended one Naresh Tanti with IMFL on August 24.
The update went on to state that Rum Mc 99 cases amounting to INR 4, 00,000 and a Mahindra Bolero pickup were recovered from the apprehended person and were handed over to Mokokchung police station for further investigation.
Mon gets 50 LED street lights
Under the initiative of Mon district administration, Assam Riffles donated 50 LED street lights for installation in different wards of Mon town, according to an update from DC of Mon Thavaseelan K.
The district administration also expressed its appreciation on the AR for the contribution on behalf of the people of Mon district.
