Dimapur, June 3 (EMN): The Kohima battalion of Assam Rifles and along with police representatives based on specific information raided the residence of one Vizosielhou Nagi, ‘general secretary’ NNC (NA) at Science college area, Jotsoma in Kohima on June 3.
During the search, illegal arms, ammunitions, and war-like stores and extortion document were recovered from Nagi’s residence. A press release receives from the Assam rifles authority on Sunday informed.
Two Pt 303 Rifle, one double barrel shot gun, one 12 bore rifle, one SBBL rifle, one 9 mm pistol, one 7.65 mm pistol, one pt 22 mm pen pistol, three magazines of 9 mm, 7.65 mm and pt 22 mm, four rounds of 9 mm, 27 rounds of 7.65 mm, 81 rounds of pt 22 mm, 34 rounds of 12 bore rifle, one 9 mm fired case and one passive night vision binocular, one binocular, and a cash amounting to INR 10, 87, 057 including US Dollar 15,671 (in denominations of $100x 156 numbers, $20 x 2 numbers, $10 x 2 numbers, $5x1 numbers and $1 x 6 numbers) and Indian currencies worth INR 38,100 were said to have found from the cadre residence.
Incriminating documents revealing extortion amount of INR 28, 08, 062 were also said to have recovered.
The individual was not present in the house during the operation, the press release stated.
The recovered items were said to have handed over to Zubza Police Station for further investigation.
