Dimapur, Feb. 20 (EMN): The Red Shield Eagles of the Indian Army helped in facilitating a water supply scheme in P Molding village nestled in the Kobru Ridge of Senapati district.
According to an update from the PRO (Defence), a village of around 200 houses in four clusters had a common natural water source about 3 km away in the hilly terrain which had deteriorated, thus dwindling the water supply to the village.
To improve the hardship faced by the villagers, the Red Shield Eagles of the Indian Army helped in facilitating a water supply scheme but also worked alongside the villagers in installing and completing the project.
The new water supply scheme has addressed the basic needs of approximately 1200 people thereby easing their lives and reducing their burden especially on ladies and children who are now free for other activities including attending schools.
