Dimapur, Aug. 13 (EMN): Wokha battalion of Assam Rifles conducted a friendly football match between two local teams at DC ground, Wokha on the occasion of the International Youth Day on Sun., Aug. 12.
The Wokha battalion of AR issued a press release on Mon. Aug. 13 stating that the aim of the football match apart from observing the International Youth Day was to draw public awareness to issues concerning the youth, their aspirations and contributions in shaping the destiny of the society, the state and the country apart.
It was also a platform to provide an opportunity for mutual trust to narrow down the barrier of societal distrust and sense of alienation, added the press release.
