Dimapur, Oct. 11 (EMN): Troops of 40 Assam Rifles and police representative arrested on alleged NSCN (K) cadre from Old Medical Colony, Tuensang town on October 9.
The accused has been identified as ‘SS’ Colonel H AkhumYimchunger (33) alias Pamei, son of Hanji Khiung Yimchunger. The team also recovered one .22 pistol with magazine, nine live rounds of .22 pistol and extortion notes.
The accused along with recovered items have been handed over to Police Station Tuensang for further investigation.
In another incident, troops of 3 Assam Rifles arrested one alleged NSCN (KN) cadre from South Point Market, Kohima, on October 7.
The accused was identified as Neikhoo Tarakhano (30), son of Nesihu Tarakhano of Pfuchama village in Kohima district. The troops recovered 28 nos of GPRN work permit and cash of Rs 4,310.
The accused alongwith recovered items have been handed over to South Police Station for further investigation.
