Dimapur, July 3 (EMN): Basing on specific input regarding presence of NSCN (K-YA) cadre in Suruhoto under Zunheboto district, troops of Assam Rifles conducted an operation and arrested one Maj. Lukhato (58), resident of Asukho village in Zunheboto district on June 28.
Assam Rifles recovered one point 32mm pistol with magazine and three mobile phones from his possession. He was reported to an active member of the proscribed NSCN (K-YA) and has been involved in anti national activities including tax collection and sheltering cadres. He was also stated to be a close associate of Nikki Sumi and Akaho Jhimo.
The release added that the individual along with the recovered items were handed over to Zunheboto Police Station for further investigation.
